Ken and I would like to thank the association for allowing us to work on the 2007 Illinois State Fair Draft Horse & Mule Show sponsorship committee last year. It was very enjoyable and we were blessed with many new friends along the way. Sadly we must step down for the 2008 show year, as work and family commitments will not allow us the time needed to manage the sponsorship solicitation. If you are interested in taking over this project please contact Ken or I at 217-415-3168 or my e-mail is melissa.loyd@countryfinancial.com. We would be happy to provide you with the information from the 2007 show. We have spoken to a few of the sponsors from last year and they are interested in renewing their sponsorship for 2008. 2008 show season has started, not on the best foot. Brocton was rained out sorry to say. But the reason I'm saying something about the show season is that with the fuel prices being so high were afraid that the numbers will be down. So if you can make it to a show if nothing else is to watch please do. The many fairs are doing away with the drafts. If nothing else please try to make it to the state fair. Thanks so much, if you do make it to more than one show.
